Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home by using a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and click here permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public nsfas status universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until nsfas 2025 the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
